Step 37: Well, the last step is to link the GPO to an OU. Any computer that doesn’t belong to a group will appear here.

The reason for this is that the server has not reported status back to the WSUS-server(as mentioned in step 1 above) between detection and installation of the first 13 updates (step 6) and the last detection after the reboot and since this is the case, the WSUS server will think these 13 updates have not been installed yet and will not offer the last 9 updates. After having performed this command open up and restart Windows Update Service.

What’s next in my post is nothing special that most of smart admins might not been knowing about, but I thought to make a step by step guide over WSUS from the resources already available over internet.

Offline updates solution: Autopatcher: When you talk about updating few PCs just built up and installed, then the best tool that strikes me is Autopatcher.

If you are on a personal connection, like at home, you can run an anti-virus scan on your device to make sure it is not infected with malware.

If you are at an office or shared network, you can ask the network administrator to run a scan across the network looking for misconfigured or infected devices.
